Fire (crisis) is just around the corner. As leaders we must not only be aware of possible threats of fire but also be prepared to face them. Preparedness is the source of confidence. Safeguarding against possible threats is only a part of the whole story. Judgement of what is important for today and tomorrow, prioritization, action and progress review are some of the things that ensure that we are focused on issues that are of vital significance and thereby escaping from the trap of fire-fighting. Many a times we fight the fires that are result of our own negligence and short sightedness. These are the crisis, which at one point of time in the past were simple issues of common sense. Understanding and preparing for the same would not only have saved us from fire fighting and mental agony of today but also could have openened up new opportunities.
